An amazing windy afternoon at Madeira, 7 very windy landings at Cristiano Ronaldo Airport, several times the wind was outside airport limits and some of the planes went on a holding pattern waiting for land clearance.
The late touchdowns are normal in these wind conditions, pilots approach a bit higher due to the chance of windshear on the short final.
