Regarding many requests, here’s another video of an ATR 72-500 powerback and takeoff. Normally aeroplanes do not reverse by themselves for safety reasons, rather using the pushback tow truck, but turboprops like the ATR, with the engines and blades at a higher position, can safely make the powerback, a manoeuvre very used in Madeira by the 2 ATR’s 72-500 that visit us daily, from both Binter Canarias and Swiftair (cargo).
